What’s happening in your area for Carers Week

Brecknockshire
Monday 14th June
We will be promoting Carers’ issues and Powys Carers Service at the Pengorof Group Practise in Ystradgynlais. Come along to meet the outreach workers.
Thursday 17th June
We will be promoting Carers’ issues and Powys Carers Service at the Brecon GP Surgery. Come along to meet the outreach workers.
Friday 18th June
The Ystradgynlais Carers Group is organising a Healthy Living Promotion Day at the Healthy Living Centre in Penrhos (66 Penybryn Road) from 12noon. All are welcome to enjoy a healthy lunch followed by a presentation from Paul Steer, Health Visitor. Various health professionals will be present throughout the day.

Radnor and N. Brecknock
Tuesday 15th June
We will be promoting Carers’ issues and Powys Carers Service at Knighton Library from 10-3. Come along to meet the staff, and new outreach worker Sarah Baker.
Thursday 17th June
Young Carers! Come to Wyeside, Builth Wells and see Harry Potter and the Prisoner
of Azkaban. Limited Places have been booked, please call the office on 01597 823800

Friday 18th June
We will be promoting Carers’ issues and Powys Carers Service outside Somerfield, Llandrindod Wells from 10am – 2pm, and outside Co-op, Builth Wells 4-6pm
Saturday 19th June
Healthy food, relaxation therapies and health advice at Trefonnen School, Llandrindod Wells from 3-6pm. If you would like to come along to this, please contact the office on 01597 823800, so we can make sure there’s enough to go around! We look forward to seeing you.

Montgomeryshire
Monday 14th June
Mick Bates AM is launching the Befriending Project for Montgomeryshire Carers in the Methodist Church Hall, Back Lane, Newtown from 2pm. All carers are welcome to join in the afternoon of fun for a cream tea and to learn Indian Head Massage. Call Sandra Ward on 01686 628 749 for more information.
